We're aiming for…
…a list of specific, evocative words that define your work and a phrase or two that read like ‘you’ rather than A.N.Other maker. You'll leave with a method you can re-use and renewed enthusiasm for listing work on your website.
We'll start with a couple of exercises to put you at ease.
Bring a favourite or best-selling piece to work with.
Through questioning and reflection you'll find the key words to use when writing about your work; words that entice customers and provoke curiosity.
Work alone or with like-minded others to distill the essence of the work you make – no AI involved.
You'll leave with a method you can re-use and renewed enthusiasm for listing work on your website.

I'll talk you through what you're going to be doing and then you'll work alone for a short while.

If you wish to join a small group of like-minded others to learn from and support each other you may, but you don't have to.

what do i need?
Bring a favourite or best-selling piece of work with you. Also, have notepaper and a pen or pencil to hand.
can i get individual feedback?
You'll get feedback from your peers in this session, but not specifically from me, however there'll be time for a few questions at the end.
who is this for?
This is for professional makers of applied arts who want to write more enticingly about their work in time for the gift-giving season.
How many people will be attending?
There's a maximum of 12 places to allow you to work alone and in small groups if you choose, learning from and with like-minded people.
will there be a recording?
No. You'll get much more out of this experience by participating in the live session. Parts of the session will be recorded, solely for my records.
